| Charges are made at a rate per tape hour - that is for each hour of
broadcast tape rather than for each hour it takes to transcribe. This method
of charging has been adopted so that you know your costs right from the
start.
For cassettes, minidisc and digital sound files, the standard rate is £68
per tape hour. Work is charged in blocks of 15 minutes with a minimum charge
of £17.
For videos, the standard rate is £80 per tape hour with a minimum charge of
£20. For videos with time codes and/or screen notes the standard rate is £96
per tape hour with a minimum charge of £24.
Extra charges may have to be made for poor sound quality, very large focus
groups or if you need the transcript very quickly.
If you require your work to be returned to you by courier or Special
Delivery, the actual charges will be added to your invoice. However any
additional charges will be agreed with you BEFORE we commence your work.
All charges are excluding VAT and are effective from 1st May 2008.
